About the CME

Autism 360

The lived experience of Nambikkai Nilayam is an amalgamation of modern evidence based science, genuine human compassion, and an empowered, diverse community. It is this spirit that we hope to carry forward through Autism 360, a one-day CME to be held at Christian Medical College Vellore.

Autism 360 seeks to bring together experts across Developmental Pediatrics, Paediatric Neurology, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and Adult Psychiatry to explore autism through a truly lifespan perspective. The CME will address pressing themes including early identification, advances in genetics, challenges in assessment, co-morbidities, and the often-overlooked transition from child to adult services.

Beyond expert discussions, the CME aims to nurture the next generation of clinicians and researchers. We plan to provide opportunities for young professionals to present their work, engage in meaningful dialogue, and build networks. Poster presentations, awards, and travel bursaries will ensure that promising voices are heard and encouraged.

In keeping with the ethos of Christian Medical College, Vellore, “Not to be ministered unto, but to minister”, this initiative is not merely academic. It is a step toward bridging gaps in care, particularly for underserved populations, and strengthening models that are both evidence-based and contextually relevant.

Nambikkai Nilayam cannot truly be captured in words or numbers - it must be experienced.

Through Autism 360, we hope to extend that experience outward, reaching many more who seek understanding, skill, and above all, hope.
